Dropping over 1300 vertical feet, our all-day excursion offers some of the narrowest and steepest whitewater you'll find in the state! The day begins with an extensive paddle talk in which we work on paddle technique, teamwork and safety concerns to tackle the demanding whitewater ahead. After a morning's "warm-up" of non-stop class 3&4 rapids, we pause in the historic mining town of Idaho Springs for a delicious lunch by the riverside. Soon after, we're plunging through the nearly constant class 4+ whitewater of the Lower Canyon as we meet the challenge of such rapids as Ejector, Double Knife, Hell's Corner, and Corkscrew! (Class IV+)
